Welcome!

You have stumbled upon the jumbled up assortment of my quilting doodling. I absolutely adore the Electric Quilt designing software. It has opened up a whole new world for me! There is no way I will ever get all of my quilts made, but I sure can create the designs! Know what's even better? I can share them with YOU. Each of the pictures on this site will link you to the PDF file for that appliqué pattern. The patterns are free. Just open the file and save it to your computer (or look here for archiving help). My designs are simple and best suited for fusible machine appliqué.

Have a special request? Email me, maybe I can help! SINDY

Sewing Along

Native Flair ~

This was a real challenge! I had so many requests for a Native American themed quilt. But I had to come up with something that could be used to represent any/all of the regional tribes (at least quilt wise). So what you have gotten is a hodge podge of native animal totem shapes and symbols.

Brown Eyed Susan

My favorite Texas wildflower is what we have always called Brown Eyed Susans. Okay, so some people think they are more of a weed, not me! There isn't much happier than a whole roadside of these little sunflower look a likes. The pattern sheet includes both 12.5 and 10.5 templates.

My Gnome

I know, I know, never say never. Those on the Scratchingpost Yahoo list saw me say a few months back...no gnomes.

Please don't make me eat my words :) Here is your Gnome. Or rather my Gnome. Because if this household had a resident gnome he would look just as frazzled and overworked as this poor guy!

Spinning Shapes

What was I after here? Something easy, yet wildly eye-catching for that "tween" age quilt recipient. Once again, this is an idea that came about from chit chat on the Scratching Post (Yahoo Group).

  • Guess what! I have a new Electric Quilt 6 project file available ~ Sindy's EQ6 project file 2009 - This EQ6 Project file has 124 blocks (including the BoMs). Wouldn't you just LOVE to use my EQ6 designs in your own EQ6 designing? What a great addition to your personal block library! And Yes, shop owners and teachers are welcome to use this file in creating hand outs for class and guild projects!  Preview

What is this? I know new friends are finding my site daily. It can be a bit daunting to go through here and save each and every file to your computer. This is my little way of giving you a hand. How does it work? Well, you send me a blank CD with a self addressed stamped mailer to send it back to you in. (Quite a few of you have tucked your donations inside, and that is truly a blessing, Thank you!) I will burn you the CD with all of the free patterns from FatCat Patterns (This does not include the Block of the Month designs) and mail it back. You are welcome to share this information with your friends and internet groups. Or you can click that donation button, it is hiding in the top left corner, and make a donation to cover postage and the cost of a CD. Make sure to put a comment in there letting me know you need a CD burned!

Please, when sending your CD - Do NOT include a personal check. I cannot deposit them.

Hello friend! You are welcome to make quilts from these patterns for yourself, family, friends, fundraisers and raffles, and most of all, charities! You may even make quilts or gifts from these patterns to sell for a profit (No mass production though).

What I ask you NOT to do please; no photocopying, no reproducing to package and market the patterns with the intent to sell them.  Just because they are free here for your use, doesn't make it legal to use them in that way.

When in doubt, email me and ask.  Be friendly and keep the creative spirit of quilting alive and give credit where credit is due.
